To the Pool

We took Gaelyn to the pool for the first time the other day. We thought that it was warm enough before we left the apartment, but after we got to the pool we discovered that it wasn't warm enough for Gaelyn. It wasn't cold, but she takes after Sasha when it comes to swimming-the water better be warm. My Gulf Coast girls.

She wasn't too sure about the whole pool idea.

Gaelyn has seen the pool now and still doesn't think it looks like fun.

Gaelyn has grown into her 6 month old wardrobe so she gets to wear new clothes. I think she likes looking at her closet of clothes, she always smiles and reaches for her clothes when we're picking out her outfit for the day. Anyhow, here she is in a cute dress that Glen picked out for her.

It has recently come to my attention that there are a few of you who have not seen Gaelyn in person so I will try to put more posts of videos so you can see her in action. This video is of her in the car and she screamed so loud that she kinda scared herself. It is pretty funny.

The real new post

It has only been three months since our last post so I don't know what you are all whining about. It really isn't THAT long is it??? Anyway, since our last post Gaelyn has had her third, fourth, fifth and sixth month birthdays. In fact, this afternoon at 3:52 she was exactly 6 months old.......give or take an hour because stupid Arizona has a problem with daylight savings time. She can sit up on her own and can eat real people food. She is happy and healthy and we love her more and more.
I am almost done with school here. In 3 weeks I will be graduated and I will have my Master's degree. I am waiting to hear back from a number of places as far as jobs and such but I am excited to be done.
And now for some pictures, which is the real reason any of us have a blog.

My Little Funny Face

Glen and I were out shopping one night with Gaelyn. When we went into Old Navy the sun was out and it was warm, when we left it was dark and chilly...the chilly temperature surprised Gaelyn, can you tell? LOL! So cute!

Glen and I love the beach, so we were really excited to share that with Gaelyn on our trip to Florida. Sadly, Gaelyn was not in the mood for the beach. I think it was the bright sunshine that ruined it for her. Her trip to the Naples Pier was better...although she was asleep for most of it. I'm sure she'll be a beach-loving girl when she is a bit older.

We tried to get a pic of a pelican diving for fish, but we failed. I was bummed that I didn't see a dolphin this trip, I've seen one on every other visit :(

While we were in Florida Gaelyn had a lot of firsts, this is one of them. She reached out and grabbed something...on purpose. Her little lion with a mane that makes crunchy noises was just too good to pass up!
